When we mention “unlimited vegetables,” we’re primarily referring to non-starchy vegetables like green leafy vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, etc.

These vegetables are low in calories and high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

While it’s technically possible to count the calories from these vegetables, they are generally so low in calories that they don’t significantly impact your overall intake.

For instance, a cup of broccoli has about 30-40 calories, which is quite negligible in the grand scheme of your daily intake.

By not counting the calories of these vegetables, it encourages you to eat more of them without worrying about their impact on your calorie count.

This helps promote a healthier relationship with food and emphasises the importance of nutrient-dense foods in your diet.

Eating more vegetables is beneficial for overall health, including digestion, satiety, and providing essential nutrients that support your fitness and weight loss goals.

We highly recommend if you’re being asked to control these items, to push back.

Yes, we cannot always just focus on “calories” only and ingredients matter.

But these “health food” companies & the health food aisle in general needs some attention.

Fun foods we are down for..

Sneaky marketing or supermarket placement = NOT down for.

The lesson = look at the big picture when making food choices.

If you’re craving some yummy choccie every so often, perhaps just enjoying the actual mars bars is more beneficial for your soul & adherence / enjoyment - than scouring a “healthy” alternative 👀
