Savoury Granola

Ingredients

  • 150g Rolled oats

  • 30g Sesame seeds

  • 80g Pumpkin seeds

  • 55g Sunflower seeds

  • 40g Pecans

  • 20g Walnuts

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Fennel seeds

  • 3/4-1 Tbsp Chilli flakes, your preference of heat!

  • 2 Egg whites (approx 75g)

  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil

  • 10g Honey

  • 25g Pomegranate Molasses

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C
  • Prepare one large baking tray by lining with baking paper.
  • Combine all ingredients except the honey & molasses in a large bowl.
    Mix very well with a spatula to combine.
  • Transfer your mix to the baking tray, spread out evenly and gently press your mix down with the
    spatula.
  • Drizzle over your honey.
  • Bake for 30 mins.
  • I like to check at halfway-20 mins and give it a toss (so that the bottom gets some love).
  • Gently press down again, return to the oven.
  • I like my granola crunchy!
  • So cook until your oats achieve a lovely dark(ish) brown colour.
  • Once cooked, remove from the oven and drizzle over your molasses straight away.
  • Hear that slight sizzle of the molasses!
  • Give it a gentle toss with a spatula and allow to cool for 5-10 mins before:
  • A) taste testing immediately or
  • B) storing in airtight jar or container
